AND I DON'T EVER WANNA SEE YOU CRY [maroon]The tom was waiting in silence. The night air was still, calm, placid; whatever you wanted to call it. Sighing heavily, Thornstrike sniffed a tree root before wrinkling his nose and sitting back down. I can't believe I was so mouse-brained, inviting her out onto Rouge Territory. She's Riverclan's DEPUTY for crying out loud!
Wishing he could claw his own ears off, the tom stared down at his paws for several moments, wondering if the she-cat would really show up. So far they'd only met by chance on one another's territory, but this was the first time one of them (himself) had straight-forwardly set up a meeting date. He'd never really told her right to her face that he loved her. In fact, he hadn't even known it himself until just recently. It was still a new thing, this feeling of love. He barely understood it, so how could he tell her right out how he felt for her? What, that I think about her even when she's not around? That I find myself regretting more and more that I joined Windclan instead of Riverclan until I realize I never would've grown close to her otherwise? Uggg, this is all so... Vexing.
Flattening his ears, he settled down on the ground, tucking tabby paws under his chest as he rested his chin on the forest-floor. Even if Thymemoon decided not to come because she didn't like him or had other things to do, he would wait for her all night. It wasn't like anyone was expecting him back in Windclan, and he'd put off hunting Night for later. All that was on his mind now, the only one who could succeed in making him forget about his cousin, was the pretty Riverclan deputy he'd actually come to grow fond of.

Thymemoon walked carefully through the territory, sensing the danger of dogs around her. She was at full alert and stepping as lightly as she could. When she caught sight of Thornstrike she felt a huge relief. Still staying very quiet, she walked up to the tabby tom and purred hello to him. Such a beautiful night, isn't it? she said lightly. She felt the danger around them still, but she still couldn't help but relax now that she was with Thornstrike, alone...

[Haha, I remember the dogs. xD] [maroon]Flicking one ear, the tom rose abruptly as he scented the she-cat's breeze sharply on the wind before the undergrowth rustled and the tabby figure emerged. It was strange seeing her at night rather than in the morning. Beneath the sun, her pelt glowed like a million rubies, but in the shadows she was silhouetted with a golden aura, and it was rather intriguing, like watching a Starclan warrior in front of him. Then again, the tom didn't believe in Starclan, so he couldn't really relate her appearance to anything. "Hmph. I prefer the afternoon when it's not too cold or too hot. Were you safe on the way here?"
He meowed, drifting away from his own opinion and back onto the she-cat. He had been slightly nervous that she might've been attacked or gotten lost on her way here. She was intelligent and kind-hearted, but at times she could be somewhat of a ditz.

Thymemoon was touched by his concern. No I know my way around here pretty well.. I had a mission back before you came to WindClan that required me going through this area.. But that was moons ago. She smiled at him. I'm not that much of a ditz you know?

[maroon]Amused, the tom sighed and shook his head before looking up with a smile that held only the slightest touch of arrogance. Had it been the day he'd first met the deputy, he wouldn't have smiled at all, but now, it didn't feel right not to admit to the comfort he felt around her. "Hmmm, do I know?" He joke, teeth flashing as he grinned. Usually there was the saying that toms tended to chase after she-cats who reminded them of the female role-model in their life; their mother or sister, because those were the she-cats they were most adapt and used to being around. However, for Thornstrike, this was certainly not the case. First of all, his mother had been an insane maniac. Thymemoon was quirky, but in a good way, and there was no way he would ever dream of putting her in the same boat as his late mother. And secondly, he didn't have a sister. He'd had a brother, Jack, but the tom was deceased, so Thymemoon was one of a kind.
"Hmmm... You interest me." He meowed, tilting his head and staring at the she-cat. She was smaller than him, with golden orange fur the color of the sun and white clouds here and there. It was her eyes though, serene and blue, that fascinated him, though not as much as the she-cat's intoneness with her surroundings. Even he, who had done so well to lock himself away from friendship and family, had been drawn out by her overwhelming warmth. Once, the tom had been lost in a darkness. Yet now, it seemed that he'd found his sun.

As you do me Thorn. The she-cat smiled a honest smile to him. He was a strange one indeed, yet filled her with joy and adrenaline like she had never felt in battles. She thought about this, and knew there was much truth behind this. She sat there, with the only tom she knew that could make her feel this way, wondering why he had to be a WindClan warrior. She sighed slightly but kept her hopes high for him.

[red]The tom wasn't sure what he was suppose to do. Of course, it wasn't as if this was the first time he'd been at a crossroads. After Jack died, for one split second he had wondered if they'd gone too far in killing his uncle's side of the family. But when he thought again, he remembered the fury that had eventually killed his mother upon learning that Moon had another heir, and even more aggravating was that this so called 'Prince' was the one cat who'd escaped. And it was then that Thorn had given up on going back and starting over. He'd forgotten all about their original plans to wipe out the royal family and build a new empire. Instead, he'd focused his all at bringing down Night. As long as that black-furred tom was still out there, then his family's vengeance was unsatisfied. He had left Jack's best friend in charge of rebuilding the civilization while he left in pursuit of his black-blooded cousin. Now, he wasn't even sure what he would do if he ever did kill Night. Would he return to his homeland and his followers who were waiting there for him, or would he stay here and let them think he was still hunting his kin or that he'd died? Somehow, he couldn't stand the thought that they might forget him, yet at the same time he didn't want to leave this she-cat behind. His plan had always been to simply catch Night and end him right then and there. After that, he'd always figured he'd go back home without another word to his clanmates. But now he had a reason to stay after. This reason had presented herself along the way and had taken him by surprise, but now he knew he would by a liar if he said he didn't enjoy her company.
"You; you cause me a lot of trouble you know. Whether it's the good or bad kind I'm not sure, but you throw my world upside down so that I can't think straight." He meowed suddenly, flaring amber eyes in the she-cat's direction as he stared in silence for a long time.

Her eyes flared up with a hidden fire and she smiled a slow, knowing smile. She thought about the times when she was little, killing those smaller than her without another thought. She lived for the adrenaline back then and never cared for anything other than herself. She killed kits who got on her nerves, posing the deaths as accidents and other things. She used her cunning and amazing skill to take down those who got in her way, which was strange for someone her that was her age at that time. She thought of her parents, and what they would have thought of her had they known all of this. The secrecy and bloodshed filled her eyes with a lust for fighting. She stopped killing and started trying her best when she decided to be something more. Thymemoon stared into Thornstrike's eyes with a flame as hot as his.
