[yellow]Watching Silentstar, the tom remained quiet for several moments as he watched her dizzy nature. He glanced over as Gingerheart spoke, and then he cast another look at his leader. "Are you alright Sill? You're looking a little worn-out." He gave a half-smile and padded after the Medicine Cat, waving his tail for the black she-cat to follow. Vaguely, he wondered what it was that caused cats to daydream. Usually daydreams are stimulated by memories or flashbacks which are caused when someone sees something in the present that can allow them to relate to the past. Flicking his ears, he wasn't paying much attention to where he was going, and before Breathwhisp knew it, he'd walked straight into an oak tree. Falling backwards with a thud, he blinked in confusion before slowly sitting upright. "Oh... My bad, I wasn't paying attention." He meowed mostly to himself. Despite his nimble and consiouc movements, it wasn't like Breathwhisp to get so lost in thought that he would run into something. Hmm... I need to be more aware of my surroundings. Smiling again, he shook it off and stood up.[/yellow]

Gingerheart was confused. First one cat drifts off, then the other? She licked her lips, pursing them tightly into a thinly veiled line. The she-cat padded along, and nodded to Breathwisp, "Okay?...Oh, Sill, are you coming?" She turned to face the black she-cat, gesturing for her to follow.

Silentstar blinked and then nodded. "Yes, I'm coming!" She bounded ahead to catch up to her litter mates, stepping sideways as Breathwhisp walked right into an oak tree which was right before his face. She held back an amused purr, and thought again about the memory. What had made her think of the time when everything was so simple, and she played with her brothers and sisters in the nursery? Sometimes she longed for those times again; oh how she missed when it was so simple and there was no worry. So much stress came with being a leader; she was very tired but she didn't want to show anyone so she kept going. Why that memory though? Where her mother was in her prime, so strong and noble? Still alive? Her eyes watered at the memory of her death, and although it was many moons ago when she was a deputy, exactly two lives ago when the she-cat she had respected and admired for her whole life had died from the sickness, the thought of her still made her sad. She hid her true feelings, though, with the stubborn calm she always kept on her face. She glanced at her warrior and her medicine cat; and then around her to make sure she wasn't running into anything, like Breathwhisp had...

Gingerheart glanced at Breathwisp quickly, checking if he had any serious wounds. Sometimes, back when she was clumsy and ran into things, ants or insects would snag at her fur and cause some diseases. Right now, in the middle of green-leaf, creatures were swarming with illnesses. With a final check at the warrior, the golden she-cat padded towards the Sandy Hollow, wondering why Silentstar had suddenly drifted. I could never do that, she ordered herself, So don't get any ideas. Usually she had to focus on her work, she didn't have any time for such nonsense. Stiffening her body even more, she ignored it and focused on getting some herbs.

[yellow]Slowing down slightly, the tom felt as though something was tugging at his paws. Walking to a halt, he waited as Gingerheart set a pace towards the Sandy Hollow. Silentstar still seemed lost in her thoughts, but she was trailing behind the Medicine Cat, which meant she was still aware of her surroundings. It feels... Dreary. Strange how quickly the mood can change. His smile faded to a concentrated frown, as though he was focusing on some far-away thought. A distant lark cried from a high-up branch on a maple tree, and he could hear the wind rustling the leaves and grass, whispering sad, lonely songs in the forest.[/yellow]

She looked in disdain as the silence hovered over the trio. She sighed, deciding to cheer up the situation. Even a word that could break the deafening quietness would do. Gingerheart took a lap of water from a rippling puddle to sooth her dry throat, then began, "What do you guys like to do?"

Silentstar blinked at the question and paused in thought for several heartbeats. She thought it over, coming up with what she thought she liked to do. As a leader it was sometimes difficult doing what you liked, when you had the entire clan to deal with and take care of. Finally she replied, and her tone was quiet and calm. "I like being with my clan, talking to them and guiding them through. Watching kits and apprentices having so much fun is always exciting, and if I could do that for an entire day I would. I love to walk through the territory and listens to the animals and watch the forest around me; when it's nice out. And, I like being a ThunderClan cat," she murmured, knowing if she was in any other clan, how different she might be. She was lucky to have been born in such a noble, caring clan who thought of all as equals.

[yellow]Watching his leader curiously, he purred at the calm look that crossed over her expression. "Awww, Sill must really like doing that. You're face changes when you talk about the things you like." Sitting straight up again, the tom gave a cheerful look at the Medicine Cat and Leader. "I like everything and everyone. There's so much out there that it's hard to feel malcontent towards anything!" His tail swayed peaceably as the good-natured tom recalled the night he had lost the vision in his left eye. Even now, he couldn't bring himself to hate the storm that had caused him to lose so much. After all, if that hadn't come across, he never would've met the wonderful cats he knew now. Even if hunting, fighting, and even simple daily tasks such as going on walks or traveling to the Gatherings were more difficult now that he was half-blind, he realized that for something to be gained, something also had to be sacrificed.[/yellow]

Gingerheart smiled. Silentstar really loved her Clan, and silently wondered what it would be like serving as Clan leader. Leading ThunderClan into battles, caring and understanding each and every cat...it must have been a hard duty. Everyone depending on you, and the pressure. The she-cat knew if she tried for a day she wouldn't be good at it. As for Breathwisp, his answer wasn't surprising. He was always happy, and never seemed to get mad at anything. Or anyone. Shrugging, she replied to the question. "I like healing, and knowing I may save cats lives doing my work. Nothing makes me happier than serving the Clan's medicine cat."

Silentstar let out a purr of amusement. Breathwhisp's answers were always so predictable. The tom was always happy, always having a joke in him and something either unintelligent or nice to say to everyone. She knew it must have come with what had happened to him in his past, but he was still a great tom to have in the clan. She glanced at Gingerheart and found her answer easily understandable. She knew the she-cat loved herbs; that's why she was ThunderClan's medicine cat. "We all like doing what we do best, which makes it easier for us to be loyal and ready to serve our clan," she meowed. She knew she was best at keeping things peaceful, and she loved peace. Breathwhisp loved being happy and he was best at happy. Gingerheart was best at healing and caring for her clan mates and she loved that. She knew some cats hated what they did best; but it was good that members of her clan had clear minds.

[yellow]Nodding at her words, he noted how it wasn't surprising that the Thunderclan leader had something knowledgable to say. It was nice to know that the cats around him were open enough to state what they enjoyed, and he was glad that they were all open-minded. "I wonder, do you think environmental preferences have to do with the clan you're born into? I mean, maybe it works to some effect towards our personal likes and dislikes. For example. A cat could be born in a very cold place, and then they join Windclan. It's mostly sunny over there, so would that make them a grumpy cat because they're in an environment not to their liking?" He wondered aloud, not really expecting an answer to his random question.[/yellow]

"Hmm..that's a tough one. Of course, a cat accustomed to snow and coldness wouldn't enjoy Windclan, but it's also about adapting." Her tone was calmer, and meanwhile she thought about the question. The warrior cats would never be here now if it weren't for the four main cats. They all certainly had to to some adapting on their own. Sometimes...sometimes love attracted many dumb-founded felines. Her love had been in RiverClan, and though Gingerheart had hated the cold and wet, she had been tempted into betraying ThunderClan.

"But there are also some cats that are just cranky-tails to begin with. Sometimes it doesn't matter what you do, or say, and they'll snap your ears off just for asking," she purred with amusement. There are also some that are so mouse-brained they wouldn't know how to live in a forest to begin with, her ears twitched but she said nothing about her latest thought. She knew cats, no matter where they were born can adapt to anything, but they could only adapt if they chose to cooperate and listen to what they are told so they can learn what to do in certain situations and how to hunt and fight in that territory. For her it had always seemed easy learning to hunt and fight in the forest because she was born in it, but she knew cats that were took a little longer to get used to the feeling of hunting in thick undergrowth and beneath long branches and in between tall trees. Silentstar knew that the cats that didn't want to learn it, and could even come from their own clan, wouldn't learn because they're too mouse-brained to comply with the rules of the clan, and the laws of survival in the thick forest.

[yellow]Thinking about it for a minute, the tom finally smiled and nodded. "Yup, that makes sense! Everyone's born differently, but it's really the choices you make in life that decide who you are. But that's just my opinion. I just wouldn't want anyone making judgements about me or any other cat without knowing their entire story first." He purred, tail swaying as a light breeze cascaded leaves through the trees. Though Green-leaf had long since started, sometimes he felt like it was already Leaf-fall. The forest always seemed to be growing balder, and he wondered if that was like cats too. One day, he too would lose his fur, but that wouldn't be for many, many, many, many, many seasons. Glancing up, he tilted his head slightly as another leaf fell, this one landing on his nose. Inhaling, he then released his breath in a strong gust, sending the leaf reeling away deeper into the woods.[/yellow]

"Yes. I'm not so judgemental either." Her tone was a sad monotone as she had a thought about one of her adventures. One day, while she was hunting as a young warrior, she foolishly strayed near the Twoleg fence. There she met a strange tom, with a plump belly, muscular features, and smug face, who claimed he would be suitable to Clan life. Her mentor had told her over and over again a loner or kittypet could never adjust to any life beyond their territory. But Gingerheart stubbornly had insisted to let him join. Sure enough, he kept his promise, and was quite known to the life of a warrior, until he left and joined WindClan. Sighing, she remembered screaming and yowling for him to come back, to come back to her. But he left, and she never saw him again.
