Mystery was fast asleep. She didnt want to wake up. She was an aprrentice but didnt seem lik one. A drop of a stone awoke her. She streched and yawned and ruffled her fur. she gave herself a quick wash. Right OK! Errr what do i need to do she thought. She didnt think often that was the downsider of her. She wasnt a thinker. Her mother would be spinning in her kitty grave.

Hawktail padded around the camp, a grumpy dark-furred tabby with not much of a good side. Poking her nose in the apprentice den, she noticed Mystery. Lips drew back in a snarl. The little cat's back was to her, so she didn't notice Hawktail's entrance. Looming up behind the apprentice, Hawktail growled. "What are you doing? You should be up by now." Before the little cat had time to turn around, Hawktail swiped out a paw, knocking the apprentice's paws out from her. Hawktail knew she wouldn't get hurt, since Hawktail had knocked her paws out from her so she would land in a nest. The snarl grew into a mischievous smirk. "Quick! What do you have to do today?"

"Sleep?" she said yawning. "Listen I was up until dawn so I'm tired." she said. She stood up and jumped onto a thin beam. "Maybe I have to clean out your nest like before and believe me I want to do something more interesting." Mystery said stubbornly. She sat down and flicked her tail. A bird flew above and she caught it and ate it whole.

Hawktail sighed. "Well, let's go for a walk. Will that give you something interesting to do?" she meowed flatly. Hawktail never really got along with this cat, mostly because Mystery never folded in under her glare. She was a stubborn little cat; and Hawktail hated stubborn.
"I don't get you. You're always getting bored over nothing. Let's just go; I'll lead." And with that, she turned and ducked out of the den.
