Away from all of the noise of the Twoleg's animals, a lone sycamore tree loomed over a hill. Under the tree, a small Den. Within the darkness of the Den, a pair of golden eyes gleamed in the sunlight of the afternoon. Opening his jaws in a mighty yawn, Sinister climbed out of his Den. The sun warmed the tomcat's pelt as he lay in a patch of soft grass in the sun.
Sinister's belly rumbled, demanding food. The Loner sighed heavily and looked around from where he laid. "What shall I hunt today?" he thought, ultimately rolling on his back to look up at his tree. On one of the branches, perched ever so proudly, was a pigeon. Quietly rolling onto his stomach and getting to his paws, Sinister stalked toward the tree.
Digging his claws into the sturdy tree trunk, Sinister used the shade of leaves to his advantage. Climbing up, using his claws and knots in the tree's twisted branches, he sat in a 'V' shaped branch. Carefully placing one paw forward, he began his climb to the pigeon. The bird was oblivious as to what was going to occur. Slowly and silently, Sinister made his way to the bird he was about to call his lunch.
Unsheathing his claws and raising a powerful paw, he struck the bird's head and listened to its shriek of surprise. The sound was ended by the bird ungracefully falling from the tree. Leaping down thick branches, Sinister jumped to the ground and looked at the stunned pigeon. Raising his paw again, he brought it down hard on the bird’s neck and heard a loud cracking sound.
The bird was dead, and Sinister got his meal. Leaning his head down, the tom began to eat his kill with the feeling of being satisfied. When he was finished, he buried the pigeon and padded back over to the patch of grass he was sunning himself in and laid down. Gazing out into the open area, he watched some horses race around from afar.

Along prowled a small cat, glowing gold against the afternoon sun. Bleak's cold yellow eyes glared unblinkingly at the rabbit in front of him. He hissed and sprang forward as his paw broke a twig and sent the rabbit running. His little paws carried the golden brown tabby faster than what was imagined and he kept a steady pace behind the rabbit. What he had not expected was the rabbit to turn around and give chase after Bleak. He yowled in surprise and turned tail and ran. Wait, this is perfect! he thought. He raced forward, keeping sure that the rabbit was still chasing him.
Reaching a spot where the field was more sparse, he jumped upward and came crashing down on the rabbit's neck. A loud satisfying snapping sound filled Bleak's ears. Had he enjoyed this kill, yes. Was it as thrilling as when he could hear that from another cat's neck, no. He still allowed himself to purr, but stopped dead as he spotted another cat, a tom by the smell of it, in front of him. He let out a low, moaning growl and arched his back. If he needed to fight with another cat, he would be happy to.

Sinister looked at Bleak and got to his paws. A fierce growl erupted from Sinister's chest. "This is my territory! Leave!" he hissed at the other cat. Sinister's golden eyes were showing clear hostility toward Bleak, his mind wrapped around one thought. "If I must fight, then be it. I will not leave my home." he vowed in his mind. The black tomcat growled again, trying to show dominance over the small piece of territory that he lived on.
Sinister's claws slid out into the soft ground, the sunlight making his eyes glow. Tensing up his muscles, the tom watched Bleack. He wouldn't care if they fought. If Sinister dies, it would be right where he has lived since he was two moons old. This was his home, and his alone.

Bleak absorbed the words that came from the larger cat in front of him, and found nothing of interest. "Your territory? What makes you think that a rouge has territory? You own nothing in this life, you flea-brain!" he hissed. Pain had filled his voice as he recalled lost memories; memories that would never come back to life. He quickly shook those terrible thought aaway and focused. Rage pulsed through him and he slid out his naturally long claws from their sheaths. He glared at the cat before him and recognized Sinister. Mouse dung! The thought rang in the tom's head. Sinister's good; I'm not sure how a fight will turn out between us. The golden brown tom flattened his fur and sat down, still perched on his killed rabbit. A small smirk appeared and he narrowed his eyes. "What will you do if I don't leave, hmn?" His voice had turned ice and he had a taunting in his meow. This was one way that he drove cats to insanity, and lead them to their deaths.
OOC:: They not really going to kill each other, right??

OOC:: Of course not.
Sinister growled at Bleak's words. "I will fight," he hissed and tensed his muscles. The black tom glared at the other cat. He didn't care if Bleak was strong or not, he was going to protect his home. "I will not move from my home. I have lived here since I was two moons old and intend to die here." he thought stubbornly. Sinister's fur bristled and his eyes narrowed.
A small wind blew Sinister's fur back, though it bristled right back. "Leave." he said again. Sinister didn't know what Bleak's past held, but he knew that the cat could fight.

Bleak let out another noise, "Tch." Bleak always did make such strange sounds, but they had meaning. The sound he had just made was that of annoyance and disapproval. "You will, will you?" Bleak hissed at the comment of fighting. "Won't that be fun! I'll be able to shred you to pieces and feel your blood beneath my paws. I would love it," he added in his slightly high-pitched voice. He lowered himself from his sitting position and stood half on and half off of his rabbit. A low moaning growl, Bleak's signature growl, erupted in his throat. "Try me," he growled, the slight breeze ruffling his fur even further.
OOC:: They can fight, I just don't want them loosing limbs or ears or stuff like that...

OOC:: Okay.
Sinister snarled loudly, his lip curling back as his muscles tensed. Leaping forward, the tomcat jumped onto Bleak, claws out. Sinister dragged his claws down Bleak's back then jumped back, in case of a counter attack. He watched the other tom intensely, wondering what he would do. "I will fight to the death...to defend my home!" he howled in his mind. Hissing at Bleak with his ears pressed against his skull, Sinister flicked his tail tauntingly.

Bleak's ear splitting screech ripped the air as pain radiated down his back. Weight lifted from him and the small cat knew that Sinister had backed off. Bleak raced forward, then jumped high in the air, landing on top of Sinister's back. Bleak stretched down his paw and clawed at one of the larger cat's front paws. Knowing that the bigger cat could fall down and crush Bleak, he jumped aside. His golden pelt flashed in the light as he lashed out at the leg once more, and blood spattered onto his face. Bleak took several steps back, away from his opponent. His spine stung, and the little cat staggered slightly. Drat, at this rate, who knows what might happen?

Sinister shook out his pelt, letting all of the pain ebb before growling once again. The tom teasingly made small steps forward and around Bleak until he was close enough to lash out a paw. With unsheathed claws, Sinister aimed for Bleak's hind leg with all his power.

Bleak watched as Sinister prowled around him, but the little cat only watched. In a sort of daze, the tom hardly felt the swipe at his leg, but he jumped forward and spun. His head whirred, and he staggered. Narrowing his eyes, Bleak snaked quickly forward. Shoving out then up, the lithe cat slide under Sinister and pushed up hard to knock out the wind from his opponent. Not having all of his strength, it wouldn't work as well as it should, but it would have to be enough. Slipping away quickly, Bleak's back rubbed Sinister's belly roughly and the tom hissed in pain. This back wound is going to be an issue, he thought bitterly. Once he was far enough from Sinister, the little cat faced his foe. Allowing himself to relax a little, Bleak's claws slipped back into their sheaths. Pain washed over him in waves, and it was giving him a headache. Drooping his head slightly, a paw was brought to the tom's head and the little cat groaned. This is bad...
OOC:: It's okay!

Heather shot out of her hiding place and shot out at Sinister, claws unsheathed. She aimed a blow at his head. Get off of Bleak! she roared at him. She knew this was Sinister's place, but she didn't like the fact that he was hurting the only one she felt a connection to. Sinister, this is unforgivable! How dare you get caught up in this! And don't get me started on you Bleak! This is so immature! If he says this is his territory, don't tread on it! Especially if he is better than you! You could have been killed Bleak! She knocked Sinister's paw off Bleak and licked gently against his wounds. What would I do if you weren't here? her voice was barely even a whisper, and so hoarse that she was sure he didn't hear it. She went back to try to lightly lick his wounds, being careful not to hurt his back.

Bleak watched as a lithe shape shot out and Heather's yowl made the little cat's headache grow. Groaning silently, Bleak look up sharply at Heather, and just as he was about to hiss at her, she began to yell at him. Hissing quietly, Bleak made a soft shushing noise that he knew the she-cat wouldn't hear. At the first touch of her licking him and whispering to him, Bleak flinched and backed away. "Don't touch me!" he yelled, the sudden noise making his head hurt more. He ignored it. "He's not better than me and I was doing fine!" he hissed loudly, crouching low to the ground. Shutting one eye tightly to help block out the pain, but still watching the cats around him, Bleak grunted. Placing his little paws on top of his head, Bleak groaned loudly and shut his other eye. "Can we just stop yelling?" The question sounded odd, even for Bleak. It was small and pleading, even though the tom had just meant to ask it so the loudness would quiet down and give his head a chance to do the same. He sounded more like a kit pleading for his parents to stop yelling at one another.
The little cat opened his deeply yellowed eyes half way and watched the two cats that stood around him. His foe, and a she-cat that always seemed to have the need to touch him. Why these two, I don't know...

Don't squirm or your wounds will get infected! she shot at him, her eyes flaring. She stopped for a second at licking Bleak's wounds and looked at Sinister and smiled. Did this furball get into a fight with you because he is mouse-brained, or did he get a prey that you were after, like some others we know? she laughed and went back to Bleak's wounds, rushing off briefly to get some herbs for some of the more serious ones. She knew what was what from her mother and she was taught, like her sisters to use them properly.

Scratch was walking along after some hunting when he heard yowling and fighting. He ran towards the noise. When he reached what had caused the noise, he saw it was only Bleak and... some cat he didn't know. He knew Bleak could be violent. Then he saw Heather rush out and start to tend to Bleaks wounds. Scratch came out and said,"Bleak, your always getting in a fight with someone aren't you? Who is this," he asked tuning to the other cat.

Bleak growled softly and stayed still as Heather began to lap at him. Sitting up once the she-cat rushed off for herbs, the little cat flattened his ears at the newly arrived Scratch. "Shut up, Scratch. And yeah, I do fight; get over it. And his name is Sinister." Bleak glared viciously at the tom who had been quiet. Why didn't Heather fuss over him instead of Bleak? Bleak shook his head and rolled his eyes. She-cats... They are another wonder of the world.
