[navy]Name: Icewreath
Age: 24 Moons
Gender: Tom
Clan: Riverclan
Rank: Warrior
Picture:
Appearance: It is extremely funny to witness the oblivious nature of one's gaze. They can be watching something so intently that they fail to notice the oddest of things right in front of them. You might be staring at an ant and not even notice the ant hill behind you. Truly, it is quite embarassing when one realizes how neglegant their eyes can be.
However, to truly vanish into your surroundings willfully is considered an art.
Icewreath, a pitch black tom with golden eyes, is one of these artists.
Average-sized for a cat of his age, he tends to hide easily in the shadows, which results in many cats cracking jokes about him joining Shadowclan. In truth, the tom would probably be happier there.
Personality: Icewreath was once a very cheerful cat; full of energy and love for his clanmates. However, with time, things change. And just as the trees lose their leaves in leaf-bare, so did Icewreath.
Now, he is cold to those around him ever since the incident that took place in the winter of his ninth moon, and he is untrusting of those around him. He is known to have a darker nature, and he is an excellent stalker.
The opposite of his sisters, he hates water, which causes him to fall victim to the amusement of his clanmates. He prefers hunting land prey, and, being very stubborn, refuses to go near the river.
Strangely, he doesn't believe in Starclan, and though he can be rash when talking about his dislikes, he most oftenly gives off a calm, intelligent air.
On the outside, the shadowy tom may appear to be a dark, solid shell. Yet, deep inside, all he longs for is someone to understand him and help heal the jagged scars of his past.
History: Born into Shadowclan originally, Icekit and his two sisters Fernkit and Jaykit were half-clan; their mother, Bluesong, coming from Shadowclan while their father, Hawktail, was of Riverclan. From the minute they were born, Bluesong's clanmates suspected that she had broken the Warrior Code. There was no other cat in Shadowclan with a pitch black pelt and golden eyes, and Bluesong was white with green eyes. Jaykit and Fernkit were the spitting images of their mother, while Icekit was suspiciously identical to the Riverclan tom Hawktail.
Gradually, the family's clanmates grew apart from them, and the three kits grew up in a world of whispers, uneasy glances, and harsh judgements.
Finally, Bluesong could take it no longer, and, believing that her kits didn't deserve to suffer for her own mistakes, decided to leave them in different clans.
In the dark of night, when her kits were each 2 moons, she snuck out of camp, bringing them with her. First, she went to Thunderclan, where one of her best friends was. She explained the situation to her friend, and, luckily, her friend agreed to take Fernkit into Thunderclan. Fernkit, being much smaller than the average 2-moon-old kit, could easily be mistaken for a new-born. Bluesong's friend, Leafwind, brought Fernkit into Thunderclan camp the next day after telling the kit to close her eyes, pretending that she had just given birth to the kitten.
At first, cats didn't believe her. She'd shown no signs of pregnancy, but she insisted that Fernkit was her own child, and they obliged finally.
Meanwhile, Bluesong had brought Icekit to Riverclan to live with his father. Hawktail took the kit and, after erasing the tom's scent, told his clanmates that he had found Icekit in the woods. Icekit was taken in, and Bluesong hurried on towards Windclan.
However, on the way, Bluesong and Jaykit were attacked by a fox, and, in the battle, Bluesong was killed. Her dead body shielded Jaykit from view, and before the fox could find the kitten, a Windclan patrol showed up and chased it off. When they found Jaykit, they picked up her Shadowclan scent and brought her back to her homeclan, dropping the kit off.
Icekit grew up in Riverclan, though he never completely fit in. No one in Riverclan but his father knew that he was Shadowclan-born. And though he could faintly remember his mother, he grew up mostly believing that it wasn't important and that as long as he knew who he himself was, than there was nothing for him to worry about.
At 6 moons, he was made Icepaw. Though he knew he had two sisters out there somewhere, he was determined to leave his past half-clan life behind him. He was ashamed of having been born without one true home, therefore he vowed to erase all significance that his life in Shadowclan held to him.
At 9 moons, Hawktail finally told Icepaw that Bluesong had died bringing Jaykit to Windclan, and that Icepaw would never see his mother again. When the apprentice learned that his sister had been brought back to Shadowclan, he feared that she would be treated as an outcast, therefore, he snuck out one night and entered Shadowclan territory.
He met Jaypaw there in the middle of Shadowclan camp, and he urged her to come to Riverclan with him. However, she insisted that she was happy and that her loyalty remained with Shadowclan. She told him not to waste her time and to leave. At first, he thought Shadowclan had manipulated her into saying that, but she turned her back and walked away from him. Her clanmates mocked him for his futile attempts and chased him all the way back to Riverclan.
Though he managed to run back to his clan, he was left with bites and scratches, and when his clanmates asked why he smelled of Shadowclan, he said that he had wandered too close to the border and had gotten attacked.
Icepaw was made Icewreath at 12 moons, but he was not the same fun-loving cat he had once been. Instead, he was filled with a cold loneliness. Believing his sister had betrayed him and too humiliated to ever show his face in Shadowclan again, he convinced himself that he no longer needed anyone.
His father and mother had been unloyal clan cats, and he refused to speak with Hawktail. Though part of him still longed to see his two sisters again, he believed that they would not wish to see him, and at each Gathering, he slipped away to sit by himself in the bushes, out of view.
He has spent every full-moon like that; alone, hating his parents for ever having him and his sisters. He has convinced himself that he and his littermates weren't supposed to be born, and he has distanced himself from the clans.
