!!!!. A small frame makes up this apprentice. Her bones have yet to grow properly in, making her a bit clumsy. But no matter, Phoenixpaw is one of those apprentices that is easy on the eyes. Her pelt is quiet simple, just black and white, or what someone might call "Tuxedo". Most of the time, her pelt is as soft as down, but other times, on days she just doesn't feel the need clean herself up, she'd look like an old ragdoll. Of course, with a few persuasions from her friends, she'd clean herself right up, giggling all the way about how she looked.
Her facial features are quite odd. If you were to look quickly. all you'd see is a small white line, along with the cobalt blue eyes of this apprentice. Around her unusual eyes there looks be an odd mask, black as as raven's wing, but still pretty. The bridge of her nose is a lighter black, more of a grey color, with white freckled across the bridge. Her ears, like the mask around her eyes, is black. Pointed, not rounded, like most cats ears are. White flecks spot the backs while the insides are a pale pink color. The rest of her body is splotched with white and black. Her front legs start off white at the shoulders, then drift into being black. A "saddle"-like shape of black fur expands over her spine and sides, her underbelly being white.
Her tail, long and slender, is easily one of her most useful tools. Black as night, like various other parts of her body, she could trick someone into coming to find out about the moving stick. Her back paws, like her front, are black, but the whole of her legs are black instead of white moving into black.
p e r s o n a!!. A mix of emotions would be what you might call Phoenixpaw. Never knowing mood she might be in the next day, all you have to do it prepare yourself for the worst. But so far, the worst has yet to come. Her emotional state is almost always in check, she makes sure of it. Phoenixpaw's one of those cats you could come to whenever you need help. If your having a hard time training, she'd take the time to help you out, try to find out how the other cat learned. Never wanting to push someone into doing something they don't want to, she'll stop if you've had too much, or even before, when she sees that your having a problem.
There are times when young Phoenixpaw seems depressed. If you just give her a little bit of time, then she'll recovering, becoming her happy, bubbly self. A wonderful word to go along with her, bubbly. Her eyes are always bright with enthusiasm beyond many cat's. Whenever an elder offers to tell a story, your sure to see this she-cat there. Her only downfall are her constant interruptions that end up with her being sent away. She'd grumble about it, but understand. Elders don't let being interrupted.
Some would ask how just a damaged soul could have such a loving heart? Phoenixpaw herself doesn't know the answer, just knows that she wants to help anyone she can. Her hyper attitude and open eyes can almost always cheer up anyone that needs it. If she can't, she'd help them out, wanting to know what was wrong, how she could help, and, hopefully, make them smile again. As stated above, Ravenpaw is definatly a damaged soul, but also a very open, and loving, heart.
h i s t o r y!!. As you can probably guess, Phoenixpaw didn't start out as the happy apprentice we see running around ShadowClan camp and territory. Instead, her name fore Fenice, and she lived in a family where she was just a tool, and nothing more.
Cenere was a lone she-cat that was kicked out of her house after a freak accident with a candle. Alcol was an alley cat that found her one night. Of course, Alcol was just a tom cat looking to reproduce and nothing more, while Cenere was a depressed she-cat that had no where to go, and just wanted to be loved. When the two met, Alcol convinced Cenere that he loved her, love at first sight. Of course, that was a lie, and since she was just kicked out of her home, she went along with it. A few moons later, she produced two kits, Rovina and Steller. She dotted on them, wanting the very best for them, while Alcol went behind her back, teaching his elder son and daughter to steal, to fight off others, to turn into the same monster that he was. Cenere had no idea what was going on, her kits looking all innocent. But when she did find out, it was too late. She was going to give birth to another litter of her abusive mate's.
Fenice was the only surviving kit of this second litter. And the only cat to love her was killed soon after. Cenere's body was found in a ditch, the blood dripping from Corvo's older siblings gave away what had happened. Too young to understand why her sister and brother did it, the young kit went to speak with her father, who scowled upon her, then spat in her face before brushing her away. He strode off, Steller and Rovina following, and leaving little Fenice alone. She wandered, only a few moons old, towards the scent of milk, being picked up, then dropped off by various humans. She finally stumbled upon CloudClan at four moons. Too weak to talk, she collpased at the entrance.
When she woke, she didn't know where she was, why she was there, or who the odd cat was, looking at her. She came to find out that it was a medicine cat, Whisperrain to be exact. And she was in ShadowClan. Curious to what had happened to her, she spoke for the first time, her voice coming out with an odd accent that no one had heard before. When asked her name, she simply stated, "Fenice."
No sure how to respond, and unaware that the exact definition of the Italian word, they called her Phoenixkit, then passed her along to a queen, who nursed her back to health, in time for her apprentice ceremony.
Now an apprentice, Phoenixpaw hasn't forgotten her history, but it has faded a small bit. She still has her accent, at times when she's tired or aggravated at others. But she's striving, working hard and long, so she can be proud of herself. Her only hope is that her mother is watching over her. A moon after her first assessment, she stumbled off a broken path, twisting her paw and ending up with a disfigurement. Her mentor, disgusted at his apprentice wouldn't be able to hunt correctly after the incident, left her at the medicine den, telling her she wasn't worthy of being his apprentice. Of course, what he didn't know was that she had a different path to follow. StarClan decided on giving her the gift of helping others, instead of having to fight for her Clan. With that one accident, it changed her outlook on how she lived her life, training as the next medicine cat of ShadowClan.
