"Mother please?!" Gorsekit practically howled. Ivytail simply shook her head. "I heard a hawk screech this morning, and I don't feel safe taking to bite sized snacks out of camp!" she meowed to her son, who was looking torn between anger at this, and interest in the moss ball his sister was playing with. Juniperkit laughed, having noticed this. "Gorsekit you have the attention span of a shrew!" Gorsekit threw his sister a half offended look, but withheld the other half, because he decided he would like to join her in playing with the moss. He didn't think his sister would let him if he became too angry. He gave his mother the other half of his look, before padding over to bat at the moss with Juniperkit...

Kestrelkit watched the older kits bat the moss ball around with interest glowing in his eyes. His sister, Echokit, padded up beside him. "Can we play too?" Kestrelkit asked hopefully. Echokit smiled at Gorsekit, finding his frustration kind of amusing. The silver tabby sat down next to Kestrelkit, their pelts completely different and standing out from each other. "Why so angry?" Echokit asked, tilting her head to the side as she looked at the tomkit.
Decipherkit laid near her mother, her green eyes dull with boredum. Moonfeather nudged her daughter's cheek lightly with her nose. "Why don't you go play darling?" she asked gently. Decipherkit shook her head and pressed into Moonfeather's soft fur. Decipherkit suddenly looked up and stood up, looking out of the Nursery.
"Can I go walk around?" she asked softly. Moonfeather pondered the question for a moment. "Only if one of the older kits goes with you." she replied after a couple heartbeats. Happily, Decipherkit padded over to Ivytail. "H-hi, I'm Decipherkit," she mewed softly. "C-could Gorsekit or Juniperkit come outside with me?" she asked. Decipherkit wasn't comfortable talking to the other Queen, but if it led to her being able to go outside she was going to deal with it.

Gorsekit looked at Echokit, about to answer, when he heard Decipherkit's conversation with Moonfeather. His interest was immediately diverted towards the shy kit. When Decipherkit came to ask about going outside, Gorsekit jumped into the air with glee. "Please mother! Please! Please! Please can we?!" the tom kit meowed, while bouncing on the spot in front of Ivytail.
Ivytail looked from her son, wriggling with excitment at the prospect of merely stroling about the camp, to the shy little she kit, who had asked her so politely..."Alright." the queen finally sighed. "But you all need to be back in this nursery before sunhigh!" she added, flicking her tail at the sun that had just breached the horizon not long ago.
Juniperkit pushed the moss toward Kestrelkit. "You want to paly with me while they go outside?" she asked the kit. Her mother would never force her to go, and Juniperkit felt much more interested in a game with another kit, rather than a walk around the camp. She also glanced at Echokit, inviting her to stay if she pleased.

Decipherkit smiled and nodded in thanks. She began to pad to the entrance of the Nursery, stopping only to wait for Gorsekit. The tomkit made her smile as she waited. Echokit and Kestrelkit smiled and padded over to Juniperkit. Kestelkit threw the moss ball to his sister, who in turn threw it to Juniperkit.

Gorsekit grinned and followed Decipherkit to the Nursery entrance. He gave the she kit a quick smile, and boldly stepped out of the shade of the nursery. The morning air felt fresh and brilliant after so long cooped up inside. "Where to first?" the tom asked Decipherkit excitedly.
Juniperkit jumped into the air and caught the ball of moss between both paws, before kicking it toward Kestrelkit. "I wonder how interesting things would be..." a second ball of moss off in a corner caught her eye, and she dove for it, throwing it to Echokit. "If there were two balls instead of one!" the little shekit purred playfully.
Ivytail watched her daughter play with the other kits. The queen smiled, always pleased to see the young ones playing together peacfully. "It is always good to see, isn't it Moonfeather?" said Ivytail, her tail flicking lazily back and forth.

Moonfeather purred, laying next to Ivytail and watching the kits. "It is wonderful to see them getting along." she purred, the tip of her tail twitching slowly. Echokit jumpd up and swatted the second moss ball to Juniperkit, trying to focus on both balls. Kestrelkit threw his to his sister, who tossed it back. The she-kit tried throwing the moss ball to Juniperkit, though she didn't know if the other she-kit could focus on two balls at once.
Decipherkit glanced around the Clan Camp and suddenly her eyes glowed with a need for adventure. She moved her muzzle close to Gorsekit's ear. "Wanna go outside of the Camp?" she asked, wanting to know what everything looked like. Decipherkit's light brown tabby fur ruffled under a breeze. She kneaded the ground, itching to go and run around the moor.

Juniperkit managed to bat the first ball, but as the second came at her, she missed and got bonked clean in the face with it. The little she kit laughed with delight. "Ok. you both which one of you threw that one?" Juniperkit purred micheviously. Her tail flicked back and forth.
Gorsekit turned to look at Decipherkit. He had never really played with the kit before, but all of a sudden couldn't imagine why. "You have no idea how long I've waited for a kit to want to leave camp. I am always having to persuade Juniperkit...I know a great place to slip out. Follow me!" the tom meowed softly, and he strode around behind the nursery. There, directly behind where his mother would be sitting, was a small gap in the camp's protection. The tom flicked his tail to indicate how quiet they needed to be, or Ivytail and Moonfeather might hear. His eyes gleamed with energy as he slowly crept toward the exit. He looked back at Decipherkit, remembering his manners. He gave her a look that read 'she-cats first!'

Echokit's purred in amusement and pointed her tail to Kestrelkit, who pointed to Echokit. "Why are you pointing at me?" they asked in unison. "You threw it!" the mewed together. "Stop copying me!" they growled, though in a playful tone. Kestrelkit then remembered the first moss ball was sitting near him and he picked it up, a glit coming to his eyes. The kit looked at Juniperkit like he was going to throw it at her, but instead he threw it at his sister.
Jumping in surprise the she-kit's fur bristled and she swatted it to Juniperkit.
Decipherkit followed Gorsekit, silently and quickly. Before padding through the exit, he gave Gorsekit a look that said 'you don't have to be polite.', smiled, and padded through. She waited for her friend on the other side.

Juniperkit laughed cheerfully as she watched the siblings have their little squabble. She could remember plenty of times when she and Gorsekit had shared moments such as these. She was so lost in thought, that when the moss was tossed to her, she didn't see it until the last possible moment. She dodged it awkwardly, and made a wild motion with her tail, that just happened to hit its mark, sending the ball of moss flying into the air. It began falling back to the ground, directly between the other two. "Who ever wants it!" Juniperkit laughed again.
Gorsekit quickly followed suit, disappearing through the secret gap. His tail whipped out of site, and he was free! He grinned at Decipherkit. "We did it!" he purred, though still quietly, so as not to risk their mothers hearing them still. He began to trot up a small hill of the moor, right next to camp. He kept his body close to the ground, because he had not forgotten about his mother's warning of the hawk...and he didn't fancy the idea of becoming a snack after such a great accomplishment."Come on Decipherkit! The view's great!" he called out when he reached the top.

Kestrelkit and Echokit looked at each other as the moss ball started to go between them. They smiled at each other. Together, they both rasied a paw and hit the ball back to Juniperkit.
Decipherkit followed Gorsekit, staying close to the ground like he did. Glancing around, her eyes sparkled. "Wow!" she purred in amazement. "Can we come back here tomorrow Gorsekit?" she asked hopefully, looked at the older kit. Decipherkit was itching to run around the moor, but she knew it was probably a bad idea.

Juniperkit jumped on the mossball as it landed, and the toy shot out from under her, hitting her mother's head. The queen laughed, and softly batter the toy toward the playing kits. "Watch it there Juniperkit!" Ivytail purred lightly. "I know where you sleep at night!" she joked. Her daughter rolled her eyes and sighed loudly, clearly playing up her annoyance with her mom, though the kit was still grinning a broad, toothy grin. "I'll remember that mother." Juniperkit laughed, before rejoining the game with her friends.
Gorsekit laughed. "I would love nothing more than to leave camp tomorrow also!" he meowed, his pelt bristling with happiness. The wind rushed over him, and he felt like a free tom. In the heavy breeze, the kit did not hear the hawk above him screech, however, he spotted the shadow on the moor ground, and ducked low, yowling to Decipherkit. "Quick! Get down! Hawk!" Gorsekit flattened himself to the ground, his body mostly hidden in the tall grass. He wasn't far from the camp...Perhaps he and Decipherkit could make it if they stayed low and ran...He looked to his friend, his eyes wide with fear. He inched toward her, in case the hawk dove for her, he would be there to help protect her.

Kestrelkit and Echokit laughed a little before batting the ball to Juniperkit together. Moonfeather smiled as she watched the kits. "I sure wish we were that small again." she meowed. Gazing around, Moonfeather tried to located Decipherkit and Gorsekit. "Ivytail, has your kit come back inside yet?" she asked, worry starting to build up in the Queen.
Decipherkit shrunk to the ground, fear causing her to tremble. "W-what is that?" her startled mew was shaking as she pressed close to Gorsekit. Decipherkit's eyes were full of terror as she watched the hawk. She had never seen a creature like that before. It's talons looked horribly deadly, which scared her the most.

Ivytail had noticed that Gorsekit was not back yet, but looking out of the corner of her eye, she saw that the sun had not yet reached the center of the sky...That didn't ease the new sense of worry that had erupted within her. "Moonfeather, I am going to check around the camp and find them. I'll be right back." the queen meowed, standing to leave.
Juniperkit had stopped her play to watch her mother. The she-kit, knowing her brother, guessed he had probably left the camp. She debated telling her mother this, but decided not to until it was certain he had left. After all, she might be wrong and get her brother into trouble for nothing...
Gorsekit stared up at the giant bird, its sharp talons flashing in the sunlight. He barely had time to think about what he would do if the bird dove, when it did. It turned into a sharp dive, gaining on the pair of kits quickly. He spotted a rabbit burrow to his left, and didn't even care if there were rabbits in it. "To there!" he yowled, shoving Decipherkit quickly to the burrow's mouth. The grass around then burrow was tall, and they were momentarily lost from the hawk's line of vision. Gorsekit waited for Decipherkit to safely get into the burrow...

Sandkit was heading towards the nursery when he saw Ivytail exit the den..His body warmed as sped towards her, ivytail was always so kind to him. "Where are you going Ivytail?" The kits mew was filled with curiousity. "May i come with you?" Head turning left to right sandkit searched for some clue as to where the queens destination might be. He shuddered slightly as he heard the screech of a hawk that seemed to be honing in on some poor mouse or rabbit. It circled a couple times before dropping in altitude. At least he was safe in the camp he thought, especially with Ivytail With this sandkit looked up with respect in his eyes.

Ivytail was about to check the Medicine cat den, thinking how very much like her son it would be to injure himself just wandering about the camp...when a second tom kit approached her. The little cat was not her son, but none other than Sandkit. Ivytail smiled kindly at Sandkit. "I am looking for my son Gorsekit. You haven't seen him have you? He was supposed to be out in camp playing with Decipherkit for a little while..." her voice trailed off as she heard a hawk screech again from somewhere in the distance. She was certain she had made the right choice in telling her kit they wouldn't leave camp today. What with that monster on the loose...Her thoughts seemed to literally slam into her brain as an idea struck her. Her son loved to be out of camp. He also loved adventure. All it would take was her saying 'no' to his going out because of a hawk...that would frustrate the kit enough to make him do something rash. Something dangerous. Her mind was spinning. "Sandkit, you can help me! Go get a warrior as fast as you can. I might need one. I am leaving camp to look for Gorsekit. Tell them its urgent!" the queen pleaded with the kit in front of her.
