OOC: Haha! Some warrior that would make him! lol =)
Lilypond turned her head around at the sound of approaching pawsteps. Breathwhisp entered the clearing, yet more prey clenched between his sharp fangs. Despite the prospect of even more food to carry, the she-cat was glad to see the tom was safe, and there would be no need of a search. "Looks like you've done quite well for yourself!" the sleek black she-cat commented wryly. She purred with laughter when she realized just how well they had all done. "Alright, well I guess we should start loading up here to take it back to camp, lest we end up waiting too long, and have to try and drag it through the forest at night..." her meow trailed off, but her pale green eyes show just what she thought of stumbling through a dark forest, her mouth crammed with heavy prey. The warrior bent her head to the pile, and began loading the creatures into her jaws. It was hard work, but with careful placement of each piece in her mouth, she was able to make a fair lot of prey fit.
Duskfur smiled at Breathwhisp when the tom came into the clearing. He wasn't sure what had made Fernpelt look so concerned about his paw, but the anxiety from the she-cat had made the tom feel nervous himself. It was a relief to be distracted from the flash of nervousness. He looked at what Breathwihsp had caught. Yet more food to carry, although the dark gray warrior couldn't help but cheer up at the prospect of the camp's glee when they returned with enough prey to feed everyone. He followed his sister's lead, grabbing prey and begining the slow and tricky task of fitting a lot of it into his mouth. Though looking at the pile, he was almost certain they would need two trips...

[green]Smiling, Fernpelt watched as the cats began fitting whatever prey they could into their mouths, and she joined in; managing to carry two mice and a shrew. Though she was now incapable of speaking, she was glad that she could be of use to her friends. The last thing she wanted was to get left behind because her mouth wasn't big enough to hold as much prey as her clanmates. Glancing over at Duskfur, she smiled to herself. Or, at least she thought it was a smile. It was really quite impossible to tell with her jaws stuffed full of prey. Everyone's working their hardest, so I have to help out, too. Determined to carry her share, she set off after the two, pretty white fur a blinding light in the otherwise darkened forest.[/green] [yellow]Smiling, Breathwhisp crouched and picked up as much as he could carry before trotting off after the three, gray tail swaying as his good eye traced across the surroundings forest. The trees stood tall and proud, and he wondered how the woods could look so spendid and peaceful at times yet also so terrifying and cruel. His thoughts briefly directed towards the memories of blinding pain and a lung-bursting fear, but he reminded himself that it had just been a coincidence that he'd encountered nature in a bad mood. It was a one in lifetime experience, something that most cats always pictured happening to someone else. In this case, he was the someone else. Hmmm... I wonder what those birds do during storms. He thought absent-mindedly, gazing up at a robin roosting in its nest as he walked. He wasn't sure why animals were made to speak different languages. Perhaps it was so they couldn't pity one another and hesitate while hunting. He knew for a fact that he wouldn't want to hear his prey pleading for its life. Maybe species were only made to understand their own kind so that other animals wouldn't interfere with their survival skills. All of a sudden, the tom's paw caught on a root and in one inelegent yet strangely graceful movement, he fell forward, sprawling out as his face smacked straight into the ground, giving him a closer chance to inspect the soil than he would've liked. "Mphhh..." He grunted, unable to speak or emit signs of pain due to the prey stuffing his mouth. Slowly, he rose, shaking dirt from his pelt and staring at the root. And plants, too. Why can't we talk to plants? It's not like we hunt them... Well, I suppose the Medicine Cats use them for herbs... This world truly is made to fit a balance, but if that's so, then who made it this way while thinking of everything that had to connect and work together perfectly, like a puzzle? Then again, nothing's perfect. As he continued trailing behind his clanmates, these thoughts filled Breathwhisp's mind until he finally gave up when his head grew tired and sore from thinking so much. [/center][/yellow]

OOC: First, I am really sorry it took me so long to reply. I didn't see that you had replied, and I kinda forgot after a while...Also, that is very philosophical of you Barky! =)
IC: Lilypond finished cramming little puffs of fur and feathers into her jaws. She then trotted the path toward camp. She allowed her thoughts to wander. They didn't stick to any topic in particular for more than a moment. Mostly they drifted like a breeze through her brain. Swirling ideas around gently, and not letting them settle for more than the briefest of periods. The sleek black she-cat would possible have hummed had her mouth not been so full. At any rate, there was a light bounce to her step. The bounce of a cat who was fully content.
Duskfur, having jammed his mouth to its fullest extent, walked off after Breathwhisp, Lilypond, and Fernpelt. His mind, though prone to wandering as his sister's was, had decided to hover around a new favorite subject today. Fernpelt kept popping in and out of his thoughts like a flower blossom that would open and close at strange times. For example, one second he would be wondering when he would get an apprentice. That thought would evolve into one about when Fernpelt would get an apprentice. Then he would find himself just thinking about Fernpelt, minus any apprentice at all! The tom was confused, but not off put. He wondered what had brought on his sudden interest in the she-cat. However, he was rather glad the interest had arose. He glanced at the female, noticing how sleek her fur looked in the shady forest lighting. He almost stopped dead in his tracks when he realized he had been grinning. He quickly looked away and shook off the silly grin, though the feeling of heat on his face remained.

OOC: Lol, thx I guess. x3 [green]Staring off into the distance, Fernpelt's gaze softened as she thought about the cats around her. Without them, she wasn't a whole. Every time she met some new friend, her heart expanded, and every time she lost one of them, that piece shattered and was lost. In the beggining, she'd only had her mother, Jaywing, and Icewreath. They had been her entire world. When she was left in Thunderclan, that universe was destroyed. It had taken a long time for a new piece to form together towards the cat she had been left with. But gradually, her heart had begun to heal, and as she grew up in Thunderclan, she met new cats and made many friends, and she had recovered ever so gradually. Now, she felt like her heart could explode from the happiness she felt, and she couldn't help but purr, mentally viewing over each of her clanmates. However, when she came to Duskfur, her thoughts stopped, and she found her mind would not linger anywhere but on the tom. Turning red, she scolded herself for being stupid and tried to forget about the tom, though she felt her pelt grow hot as she thought about him. His smile. That heart-warming smile...[/green] [yellow]"You seem happy." He purred, smiling as he noticed the bounce in Lilypond's step. One eye shining, the tom tilted his head, stumbling slightly over his paws but catching himself just in time. It had been hard enough for him to manage those few words with his mouth full, and he didn't plan on falling again. The last thing he wanted was the prey to fly everywhere and for him to have to pick it all up and slow everyone else down. Flicking his tail, Breathwhisp blinked and glanced upwards with one amber orb. The sky was still clear, but afternoon had made its presence, and he wondered what everyone was up to back at camp. Lilypond was brought back to the moment by Breathwhisp's meow. "I guess I am just feeling the flow of the forest today." she purred, eyes bright as they gazed around the woods. The she-cat could almost feel the pulse of all the life around her. Each leaf from every branch of every single tree seemed to be more than just forms of life. Today, they seemed alive... Lilypond heard the breeze ruffle the plant life overhead. The wind seemed to portray the breath of the forest. The she-cat took a peaceful breath, and allowed herself to be filled with the same feeling of liveliness that the world around her seemed to be encouraging. She glanced again at Breathwhisp as he tripped. However, catching his slightly embarrassed expression, she decided not to comment...
Duskfur could not stop his eyes from wandering to Fernpelt each time his mind became preoccupied. But then again, it could be because his mind was preoccupied with thoughts of the she-cat anyway! The tom wanted to shake himself. To get a grip on his own brain. However, the light and fluttery feeling that blossomed inside him prevented him from thinking straight long enough to gain full control. The most control he could manage was to keep that ludicrous grin off his face. And sometimes he failed even at that...

[yellow]"Hmmmm..." Smiling to himself, he watched the she-cat's expression for several moments before looking ahead again. Gaze softening, he noted how sincere yet carefree the she-cat's words had been, and how her eyes had shone at the mention of her surroundings. It was nice to know that there were others who could appreciate their surroundings too, and he wondered what life would be like blind. I'm fortunate enough to still have my sight, even if it's not completely correct. If I had to live being unable to see this beautiful world... No, not even being able to imagine its existence, I would never know the forest's true colors. Breathwhisp's expression changed to concern briefly as he recalled something his mother had said a long time ago. "You can not miss what doesn't exist." He hadn't really understood her words at that time, but now it somehow made a little more sense to him. If you were born with sight and lost it somehow, you would cherish the days when you could see your surroundings. But if you were sent into the world blind from the beginning, did you still long to see what others could? Would you struggle to imagine the world through their eyes, but end up with nothing because you were without any comparisons? He blinked and stared at the ground for several moments, just watching as it moved in a steady pattern as his paws carried him farther along. Is it more painful to long for something you've lost and to know you can never get it back, or to wish for something you can never have or will never know? Closing his eyes, he shook his head vigorously and laughed, smiling at Lilypond. "Sorry, my thoughts are a little jumbled right now."[/yellow] [green]She could feel her fur burning, but she knew it wasn't the sun. The ground was cast in shadow, and a cloud had passed over the star, yet she felt as though her face was a bright red. Don't let him see, don't let him see. Pausing mid-step and almost tripping as she did so, she blinked and tried to clear away her thoughts. Wait, what does it matter? Who's he supposed to be? While she was trying to trick her mind into playing innocent, she knew she was preoccupied with thoughts about Duskfur, and her stomach felt queezy when she pictured the tom. Gentle yet amusing grin, the affectionate bond he shared with his sister. Wait!!! Lilypond's his sister! What would she think if she found out I liked her brother? She caught herself, and her eyes widened slightly. I don't... Like him, do I? She wasn't sure. She couldn't answer that question. She hadn't felt this way towards anyone, yet again, maybe it was because no one had ever made her feel completely relaxed, like she didn't have to fake anything anymore. Get a grip, Fernpelt. You don't know him that well... Glancing over at the tom, she couldn't help but allow a soft smile to play across her expression. But I do hope I can get to. I'm sure he's as wonderful as he seems. Lilypond noticed the stream of different emotions that crossed over Breathwhisp's face. Content at first, he soon showed concern, then a melancholy look, then slight embarrassment to have been caught in such a day dream. "It's ok." she replied. The black she-cat couldn't help but wonder what had made the less cheerful emotions touch his gaze. However, she decided that it was business belonging to the tom. Her nose should be kept out of it. Instead, Lilypond allowed her mind to wander as she absently stared at her paws moving beneath her. The left white, then the right black. Steady and in that order...It was almost hypnotizing. She almost laughed at the thought of hypnotizing herself...
Duskfur watched Fernpelt from the corner of his eye. Was it his imagination, or did she keep glancing at him as well? It had to be his mind playing tricks. Or his eyes. It was too much to hope for to think she might be looking at him so much. Or at least she couldn't be looking at him with the same feelings in her gaze. That was a smile! the tom suddenly thought. He caught Fernepelt's glance, followed by a soft smile. Duskfur's whole being seemed to light up with the knowledge that Fernpelt had smiled at him. You are loosing it! he tried to convince himself. However, it was far too late. Whatever it was...Duskfur had long since decided he was alright without. He was almost sad when they reached the camp entrance. He quickly deposited his prey in the pile. Turning around, his eyes searched for Fernpelt instinctively now. Maybe she would fancy a walk...The tom's paws tingled at the hopeful thought.

[yellow]Breathwhisp almost yelped for joy aloud when he spotted the camp, though the recollection that he was carrying prey kept him from doing so. Glad to be free of his burden, he dropped the mouthful onto the fresh-kill pile. "Ahhhhh... My jaws are sore now." He laughed to himself, grinning at his companions as he yawned in an attempt to stretch the tense muscles. Blinking, he glanced over behind him. They'd still left several pieces behind, but he doubted they would need all four of them to bring it back. "There's not much left... I can go get it if you guys want." He purred, amber eye shining as he turned to head back out of camp.[/yellow] [green]Staring at her paws, she felt the foilage clear as they entered the clearing, and she raised her head, smiling as she spotted her clanmates. Some were dozing off in what was left of the light while others were chatting or eating a mouse or two. Glancing over at the freshkill pile, she trotted towards it, setting down her share and then turning, feeling her heart jump as she spotted Duskfur looking around. Maybe... He's looking for me? She felt warm at the thought, but then she shook off the absurd idea. Of course not. There are plenty of more interesting cats to be with... [/center][/green]

Lilypond purred at Breathwhisp's kind offer. "Your jaws must be quite strained from this last trip. I'll come with you to make it not so painful." she smiled. The sleek black she-cat then turned to walk from the camp. It was Lilypond's way to keep herself busy and helpful. She hated feeling stagnate, which she had felt until today. Her paws carried her quickly from the camp clearing, out the tunnel exit, and onto the now familiar path leading to their stash of clan food. She glanced once behind her, to check that Breathwhisp had really joined her. Though the she-cat trusted him not to leave her to all the work just because she offered to help him with it.
Duskfur spotted Fernpelt, who locked eyes with him a brief moment, before looking away. The gray tom swallowed hard, fighting against the nerves that now attacked him. It's just a walk. Lots of cats go for them together. he silently reminded himself. Duskfur got to his feet once more, and padded over to the she-cat. "Erm...Fernpelt?" he began awkwardly. There was definite squeak to his meow, and when he opened his mouth again, he worked hard to control it. "I was wondering if you would like to, uh, take a walk with me. You know, before the sun goes down..." he finished his invitation, cheeks burning and heart pounding. At least I managed not to squeak in the last part. he thought in embarrassment. Dumb nerves...

[yellow]Blinking, the tom was slightly surprised at her offer, but then he grinned and nodded gratefully. "Alright; I owe you one, Lily." Watching as the she-cat headed out of camp, he set off after her, paws light on the ground as he somehow managed to treck nimbly over and around the numerous obstacles that might've tripped him otherwise; such as twigs, stones, and roots. Feeling the sun soak into his gray pelt, he scented the prey ahead and was glad that they hadn't wandered far from camp when they'd decided on their hunting location. This way, transporting prey to the freshkill pile was an easy task. [/yellow] [green]At first, she thought she was hearing things, and she didn't respond to the tom. However, when she turned, she was startled to see that he was indeed adressing her, and she felt her stomach flip in a backwards sumersault, resulting in a twisted smile on her face. "What? Oh, umm... Sure, I'd love to." She meowed unsteadily, mentally biting herself as she realized she couldn't have picked a worse choice of words. Get a hold of yourself, Fernpelt. Taking a deep breath, she blinked and tilted her head, smiling sweetly at the tom. "That would be very nice, Duskfur." She purred, maintaining her calm again. [/center][/green]

Lilypond saw that Breathwhisp was right with her and smiled, not really surprised. She spotted their small pile a few tail lengths ahead. To her relief, there was not much. "Good to see a small pile for once." she joked. increasing her speed, Lilypond reached the pile, and crammed half into her mouth. Crammed would actually be an exaggeration, compared to their last prey transport. There were only about three pieces this time, and her mouth felt a surprised relief for the lack of pain while holding them. Lilypond waited for Breathwhisp to get the other small portion of food.
Duskfur gulped back a silly grin that nearly burst from him. "OK, great!" he meowed, with perhaps a bit of obvious overexcitment. He focused on keeping the nervous bounce out of his walk as he headed toward the camp exit. He couldn't help feeling incredibly aware of Fernpelt walking next to him. His whole pelt felt warm, and he was glad that she couldn't see under his fur, for he was almost certain he would have been beat red. The tom smiled over at Fernpelt and asked, "Where would you like to walk first?" he tried to make the question casual, but realized he had let the grin slip toward the end. He looked away quickly, putting his face in check, then returned his gaze to Fernpelt.

[yellow]The tom smiled at her as he bent down and fit the rest of the prey into his mouth. His jaws were relieved as they closed down farther than before, and he sighed at the delicious smell. Wait until we get to camp. Then you can eat. Secretly, he was hoping no one else would go for the mouse he'd caught, but he didn't really mind either way. With the amount everyone'd collected, it was hardly reasonable to imagine that he would be sleeping on an empty stomache. "Yup! Alrighty, ready to head back?" He meowed, grinning and able to talk louder and more clearly now that there was more room in his mouth.[/yellow] [green]Smiling, she tilted her head to the side and thought for a moment. "Hmmm.... I heard that Sunningrocks is especially beautiful in the sun today, but I don't know. It's really up to you. I mean, it's not like I wanted to go there or anything! I don't have a preference..." Hurriedly rushing, she trailed off in embarassment, staring at her paws and trying to count how long the dust floated around where she'd scuffled about. Truthfully though, she was counting how long the silence would last. "Sorry... Let's go whereever you want to go." She purred, looking up and smiling at the tom. She felt her heart thud and swore he could hear its rapid beating as she felt her skin redden beneath her pelt as she stared at the tom. His gaze gentle, and she could feel herself melting from the inside out. Foxdung, foxdung, foxdung... Her eyes shone in the light, and she hoped to Starclan that he couldn't see how much admiration they held for him. [/center][/green]

Lilypond smiled, listening to Breathwhisp's stomach rumble. "I am ready!" she replied. The black she-cat noticed the tom seemed to be eying a particular mouse he had caught. She made a mental note not to take it for herself. Her own stomach gave a loud grumble, as if protesting having to wait to be at camp to dig in to the feast they had procured. Lilypond almost burst into laughter, but caught it just in time. She would probably have sent her prey spewing everywhere, and then the wait for a meal would have been longer. Lilypond practically yowled with joy when she reached camp. And she did manage a huge sigh of relief once the prey was loaded into the pile, and out of her mouth. "Phew!" the she-cat exclaimed. She then dove hungrily after a plump looking squirrel. Taking her meal choice to a quiet spot to eat, she glanced over at Breathwhisp with a look that plainly read, "We deserve this." she giggled and sat down to eat.
Duskfur listened to Fernpelt ramble, not even aware that she was rambling. He simply liked listening to her meow. So pretty, and soft. Like birds singing without the shrillness. He caught himself mid though, when he realized he needed to respond. "Um. Don't worry about it. Sunning rocks sounds great!" the last part of his meow came out louder than he had hoped. The volume shift was caused by the sudden image of Fernpelt in the light of sunset on those rocks. He had literally felt his stomach jump. "Lets go." he meowed, attempting to control his enthusiasm.

[ZOMG! I'm so sorry! Completely belated reply; I completely forgot that I even had any cats in Thunderclan until Amy reminded me. Dx I feel horrible!] [yellow]Smiling, Breathwhisp nodded as he walked back to camp with the she-cat. Setting their catch down on the freshkill pile, he picked up the mouse from before, feeling his mouth water as the creature's warmth spread. Sitting down next to the she-cat, he set down the prey, taking a bite as he hoped he didn't look to eager to eat. "Well, you and Fernpelt and Duskfur do. All I did was help carry it here pretty much." He laughed, taking another bite and savoring the flavor as his stomach's emptiness was tended to.[/yellow] [green]"Really? Are you sure? Because it's ok if you don't want to..." She meowed, trailing off as she stared at her paws. She wasn't sure why she felt so queezy around him. His scent almost seemed to drown her, and she was nervous and nearly jumped at every word he spoke. Probably... I like him... As more than a friend... Swallowing, she wished her feelings didn't have to come with such troublesome side-effects. How was she supposed to concentrate on walking when she could barely speak without looking at him and making a complete fool of herself? Go away, nervousness! Shoo, shoo!

OOC: No worries! I have been WAY busy, so It's all good. =)
IC: Lilypond laughed. "Oh yes. You are SO lazy." she teased playfully. She took another bite of her meal. It was delicious and for a moment the she-cat was swept up in the goodness that only fresh kill could bring. And probably that only a warrior could feel. She didn't think kitty pets did much hunting...or that their food was ever very fresh..."It must be extra sad as a kitty pet. You don't get to eat warm meals. Everything comes from one of those silver things. Brr!" she meowed to Breathwhisp, shivering slightly at the mere thought of cold, tasteless food.
Duskfur caught a flash of what could have been nervousness equal to his own. The flash was brief, and within a second Duskfur had again convinced himself his mind was playing mean tricks. All of these emotions are going to drive me insane! the tom thought desperately. "No. It's fine, really!" he meowed, and began to walk next to the she-cat toward their destination. He liked the way it felt, walking next to her. It was completely different from walking with any other cat. This walk felt, well it felt amazing! He suddenly wondered what was on Fernpelt's mind at that moment. Unfortunately, that wonder formed into a meow. "What's on her mind?" he mumbled. Then he caught himself quickly. "What's on your mind?" he asked, louder, and hoping she hadn't really heard the first question.
