Thymemoon looked from the side of the river, looking for fish. She spotted one and stuck her paw in the water to grab a fish but lost her balance and fell into the water. Great, now i'm wet! She really didn't mind getting wet, but she hated embarressing herself, in case someone was watching. She shook herself and looked around to see if anyone saw her. She couldn't see anyone, but couldn't shake the feeling she was being watched and laughed at.

Shadestar stepped out from her hiding place among the reeds next to the river. She was chuckling to herself, but not in a mean way. It was that kind of laugh that cats give when they can empathize with another cat's situation."I have fallen into that river more times than many would care to count, and therefore shouldn't laugh. However, that was one of the better wipeouts I have seen." Shadestar gave a purr of amusment to show she was not mocking her deputy. The leader sat next to the water, gazing into its depths with a pensive expression on her face. "I have a troubled feeling in my gut, Thymemoon." she meowed suddenly. Her light blue eyes glistened as she turned to look at her friend.

Thymemoon sighed, knowing her meaning. I feel it too, Shadestar. like, everything is about to just... she paused, thinking of the right word. Explode into flames and destroy everything we worked so hard at to get. she stared at her leader and sighed. I feel like everything is about to just go so wrong. she stared into the distance, looking for something that might give her answers.

Shadestar was not at all surprised to find that Thymemoon shared her worried feelings. After all, that was one of the reasons the leader picked Thymemoon to be deputy...The cat had a great intuition, and somehow always understood what was going on in Shadestar's head. "I knew you would understand." the leader meowed. She too glanced around, as if trying to spot some distant omen. Her heart told her something terrible was coming. Maybe for Riverclan, maybe even for the whole forest! However, she had no guess as to what that terrible something would be. "I think I am going to speak with Calicopelt...To see if perhaps Starclan has blessed our medicine cat with a better understanding of what may come..." the leader smiled, deciding that for now, maybe she should worry about her clan's food supply. "Want to hunt? The fresh kill pile was very small this morning when I left camp..." Shadestar meowed, on a happier note.

Yes, just hold on one sec? she had spotted a big fish coming her way and lashed out, bringing it out of the water and killing it before it got away. I'll need to send patrols soon... she looked at her leader and smiled with the fish in her mouth. she dropped the fish and said, Let's take this back first so that the elders can eat it! they will be surprised at the size of it don't you think? she laughed as she picked up the fish again and started walking with her leader.

"Sounds like a good idea to me!" Shadestar meowed, flicking her tail back and forth once before standing. She purred at the size of Thymemoon's fish. "That will feed the elders all day long I bet!" The she-cat was pleased to see such a large fish in her river. That meant that, at least for now, she didn't need to worry about prey swimming in short supply, or in tiny sizes. The leader began to pad back to camp, her ears alert as an old leader's habit. Her nose was also active, sniffing out any possible prey of her own to bring back to the camp. She caught the scent of rabbit on her tongue, and didn't pause to think. She dropped into her crouch, stalked the creature, and quickly took its life. The rabbit was about the same size as the fish, and Shadestar was pleased with the catch. She rejoined Thymemoon with a smile, barely visible through tufts of rabbit fur.

Thymemoon laughed, her sound muffled through the fish. That's quite a catch! she walked alongside her leader and when they got to the camp she ran straight to the elders and gave them their meal. she then rushed back out after that and got a patrol out then padded back up to Shadestar. I'm ready! let's go! she sounded like an eager apprentice, and she felt like one too. It had been a while since she had last gone hunting with her leader.

Shadestar watched Thymemoon race off to deliver her fish to the elders, and then she herself carried the rabbit to the freshkill pile at the center of camp. The pile was still relatively small, and Shadestar was inwardly grateful that she and Thymemoon were going hunting next. When her deputy finished sending out the patrol, she came running back to Shadestar, looking like a fresh apprentice, ready for her first training session. The leader smiled. She felt the excitement as well, since it had been ages since she and her deputy had been hunting together. "Where to hunt first?" Shadestar asked, padding toward the camp exit. Her pawsteps were light with a fresh sense of freedom and adventure.

Hmm... Thymemoon thought for a second. There are still many fish at the river. Let's go back there? Personally she liked the river because there was many things to do there and it was peaceful.

"That sounds wonderful to me!" Shadestar meowed, her eyes alight with fresh energy. She wanted to hunt for the clan, but she wouldn't mind a quick dip in the river. She might even catch a fish while swimming...The she-cat began walking quickly toward the river, and then broke into a run, her legs unable to stay so slow. She looked back, to check if Thymemoon was following, then bolted forward until she reached the water's edge. She peered into the cool depths, before turning around to wait for her deputy.

Thymemoon shot after her leadre and sat at the edge of the water with her. Shadestar, our world is like this river, you know? It's all calm when left alone, but when you touch it... she made her tail-tip hit the water. It ripples, making all the peace go away. Chaos strikes. And then it goes back to peaceful. she said as she river went back to normal.

Shadestar stared into the deoths of the water, thoughtful and silent for several beats. "Yes. And I fear a large ripple approaches...the question is from whom it shall be sent..." her meow trailed off as she pictured her clan. She cared so much for each cat, from kits to elders...she hoped that whatever came, they would all be able to pull through. Snapping herself from her depressing thoughts the she-cat looked to her deputy. "You ready to hunt?" she purred, trying to cheer up."
OOC: Sorry short...

Sure... Thymemoon looked into the water and snatched a small fish out. she quickly killed it and went for another. she saw a big one further down and snatched it too. she was to slow to kill it and it flipped back into the water and swam away. Mouse-dung! she whispered.

Shadestar was not paying attention to her paws and instead was watching her deputy's hunt. The result was a wrong step, and a tumble into the water right as Thymemoon missed the larger fish. Shadestar crawled back onto the bank, dripping and laughing. "Some pair of hunters we are!" she laughed, shaking her pelt. The water droplets that had clung to her seemed to vanish. One of the perks of a diet consisting of fish...The leader was glad she was just with her deputy. Otherwise that moment would have been quite embarrassing. A leader was supposed to be graceful...Shadestar laughed again at her clumsy moment.

Thymemoon stiffled a giggle and sighed. then she looked at her leader and mewed, Did you ever have a mate before you became leader? she knew this was a weird question, but she just wanted to ask.
