Pantherclaw yowled as he felt teeth catch up with his tail, but the wound was neither deep nor deadly, so he sucked in his breath and didn't let the pain stop him. He felt a kick hit his side, and heard a snap as fangs missed his shoulder by less than a mouse length...The tom could tell that Thornstrike wasn't going to give in easily, and Pantherclaw gave a huge shove, dislodging himself from the other tom, and crouched low about a rabbit length away. He kept his eyes trained on his opponent, knowing that now Thornstrike could not give a secret attack...Any move the Windclan cat made, Pantherclaw would have a fair chance at dodging.
Lightwing had just aimed a good blow with a forepaw when she felt a sharp stabbing pain in her right back leg. Dewdrop had clamped her jaws tight around Lightwing and the pain was terrible. Lightwing thought frantically, knowing that if she struggled, there could be damage to her leg. Finally, she twisted around to ram both front paws into the side of her opponent's face, ignoring her leg's protests as she did so. Hoping this would not cause any permanent injury...

Thymemoon watched in fear as the cats she grew up with were fighting so fiercly. she was distraught and tears came rolling off her face. she turned and ran up a tree, trying to get away from the madness before it got to her. she sat there and watched in horror from above. then it hit her. It's my clan to defend, why shouldn't I? But, would Shadestar be angry? I don't know but i won't let my clan get pushed around! she yowled and it pierced the sounds of fighting. she jump off the branch, trying to hit Thornstrike. she jumped back after landing on her paws and shook herself. Go to camp now! That's an order! she looked feircly at the windclan cats. We shouldn't fight! there is no reason to! If our ancestors always fought, how would we be here now? This is gonna destroy us! stop it now while we have the chance! she turned and started walking off.

OOC: The fight has to last longer than this, with more cats fighting.
IC: Dewdrop hardly heard the yowl, and she ignored the words as they meant nothing to her. With her teeth clamped deep into the RiverClan warrior's leg, she felt blood dripping down her throat and she just sunk them in deeper. She felt pain jolt through her face and she released her enemy's leg to let out a yowl of pain while she twisted her head around trying to pull it away from the claws. She felt blood trickling through her fur, her clawed ear was still dripping with scarlet drops. Hissing she tried to wrench herself free to get into a position to defend herself.

Lightwing felt pressure lift from her leg, and teeth slide out of her flesh. It was agonizing, and actually stung more now that air was free to penetrate the wound. However, the she-cat was made of tougher stuff than that. She gritted her teeth and ignored the burning sensation in her leg. Instead, she focused on aiming a heavy blow to the face of Dewdrop, on the side that was already bleeding. Perhaps it was a cheap shot, but whatever chased off the enemy fastest...Her leg gave a sharp twinge and Lightwing faltered, momentarily deffensless.
Pantherclaw was still ripping away at Thornstrike, not paying attention to his deputy. He probably would have taken Thymemoon's orders more seriously if he had the time to think. Unfortunately, the tom did not. Between the dodging blows, stinging pains of his own wounds, and trying to end the fight...Well he barely even had time to breath...
Jadeheart called out to Thymemoon, "They aren't going to stop. Why should they? Windclan are intruding! We should chase them off. Isn't that our right?" Jadeheart wasn't being snide. She really was trying to figure things out. After all, Thymemoon had seen more of the situation than she had. Maybe the deputy knew something she didn't. Like maybe Windclan had a good reason. Though the she-cat really doubted that they did.

[maroon]Head ringing, Thornstrike backed up momentarily as Pantherclaw broke away from the fight. At first, the tom wondered if the tom had given up, but he soon realized the Riverclan warrior was only taking on a better fighting stance. Flexing his claws, the tom hissed and sprang forward, talons unsheathed as he aimed a heavy blow to the side of the tom's head.[/maroon] -------- [navy]Snarling, Icewreath was about to throw Dewdrop off of his clanmate, but it was unnecessary as the she-cat freed herself. Striking out, the tom battered at the Windclanner's flanks, aiming to tear through flesh and fur. Ignoring his deputy, he could now only feel the urge to battle and defeat his opponents, and Icewreath's blood was roaring almost as fast as the river on their territory.[/navy] [/center]

Pantherclaw ducked to the side and came up having gone under the Windclan cat's strike. "Missed!" he taunted. He readied himself for Thornstrike to attack again and resigned himself to the knowledge that he couldn't duck around things forever. He had to find his opening soon, before Thornstike aimed a blow that would hit home...
Lightwing spared a glance at her clanmate, and saw that Icewreath was positively fuming. His eyes were alight with energy and the tom was clearly fully immersed in the battle. Lightwing looked at Dewdrop and Thornstrike. They were desperately outnumbered...Why were they still fighting? Glancing around for a moment while Icewreath was on Dewdrop, Lightwing realized the small apprentice from earlier was missing from the area. "Get ready guys! Their reinforcements will be coming!" she yowled to her fellow Riverclan cats.

More pain radiated from her scratches and suddenly she couldn't see. She let out a sharp screech as blood dripped into her eyes, blinding her, and pain pulsed through her muzzle and head as she shook it trying to clear the waves of shock. Claws ripped deep into her flanks and she felt warm, sticky blood trailing slowly through her fur. She couldn't think from the pain and writhed helpless while she tried to dart away from her enemies and flee to her territory. "Get off!" She screamed at the RiverClan warriors, her sharp claws scrabbling in the dirt.

[maroon]Cursing under his breath as he missed, Thornstrike's ears shot up and a low growl rose in his throat as his clanmate's pained cry echoed through the air. How the hell am I supposed to take care of her when these two buffoons are watching my back? Snarling, he darted forward, as though to attack Russetstorm again. However, at the last moment, the tabby tom spun to the side on his hindlegs and charged over to where Dewdrop was. Tensing his muscles, he sprang straight at Lightwing, claws aimed to slice through her pelt.[/maroon] ------ [navy]Feeling a deep sense of satisfaction as the Windclan warrior screeched, he dug his claws in harder, fangs gleaming with blood as he ripped and tore at her pelt. However, Icewreath was slightly taken aback when a figure flashed in front of him in a split-second. But he ignored it. The Windclan warrior's were outnumbered. As long as he and his clanmates could finish them off before their backup came, then there would be nothing to worry about.[/navy] [/center]

She could hear her own blood pulsing through her veins, feeling her blood dripping onto the ground while the RiverClan tom left smears of crimson red through her silver tabby fur. Her eyes began to close while her mind grew dizzy and slow, and she drew in gasping breathes. She felt her struggles grow weaker, and then they ceased, her paws only twitching while she tried to keep herself conscious. She could feel each drip of blood as it splashed from her pelt; felt every fiery burning pain as claws and teeth ripped deep into her. She thought she heard a faint snarl from a familiar tom but she couldn't make sense of his voice or who it was. She let out a sigh of pain and exhaustion while her senses spun away like her blood that pooled beneath her.

Lightwing saw that Dewdrop was losing control and severely injured. Lighting took a step back, limping on her leg heavily. She was going to turn and Leave Dewdrop when a heavy something smashed into her side, claws ripping at her flank. It was Thornstrike. He must have thought she was still attacking his clanmate! She kicked the tom's paws out from under him, panting heavily now from the spasms of pain that shot through her leg. "Leave us alone!" she yowled, pushing Thornstrike off her and feeling relief as she saw her clanmate running to take over.
Jadeheart leaped onto Thornstrike's back, doing her best to save Lightwing from a collapse like the Windclan cat was having. She clawed at Thornstrike's face from her perch on his back, feeling rage that he would attack Lightwing while she retreated. Even if he hadn't realized....

Forest green eyes stared out from the gorse at the edge of a small, bushy area on the moorland. His muscular tabby pelt bunched, and he tensed to spring at the rabbit he was watching. The sound of paws and heavy breathing made him prick his ears, and he let out a soft growl as his prey fled into it's burrow. He turned towards the noise as the scent of a WindClan she-cat filled his nose and a small ball of white and smoky brown fur exploded from the bushes. Featherpaw didn't seem to recognize him as she tried to race right past him, but he turned his head and grabbed her by her scruff. She squealed with surprise and swung her paws out in alarm as she was lifted from the ground, but then she was set back down again and she recognized the scent of her clan mate. She stared up into the eyes of her clan mate, Brackenheart who stared down at her with surprise and concern. "Featherpaw? What are you doing here? Where's Thornstrike?" The stench of RiverClan clung to her pelt. That and blood. "What's going on? RiverClan intruders?" He asked, alarmed. Featherpaw shook her head, panting still.
"No! Dewdrop and Thornstrike. In RiverClan territory. RiverClan patrol. Fighting," she puffed between gasps. Brackenheart's eyes widened with alarm. His clan mates had trespassed? Despite that they had broken the warrior code he had to defend his friends. Staring intently into the she-cat's eyes he glanced towards the direction of the camp. It wasn't far off.
"Okay, Featherpaw. You run straight back to camp and warn Heraldstar or Riddleheart that there is a fight on our border! Go, now!" He ordered. Fortunately, she happened to be one of the apprentices that actually listened to what a cat told them, and she immediately darted off into the direction of camp. Brackenheart raced towards the sounds of the screeching and snarling, and he exploded over the rise of the moorland and stared down in shock at the fighting cats. His clan mates were outnumbered, two against six. He recognized the deputy, Thymemoon among them, the only cat not fighting. He raced down the hill and skidded to a halt on his side of the border in front of her.
"Thymemoon," he growled, green eyes respectful for he was talking to a higher position. "What happened?" His eyes traveled over to the fighting cats. Thornstrike was fighting with Jadeheart, and another RiverClan she-cat was backing away with a badly injured leg. Two other warriors were prowling nearby, and Icewreach was latched onto a pile of blood-streaked fur. She lay unmoving at his paws while he tore deeper and deeper into her flesh. With an angry snarl, and without waiting for the deputy's reply, he sprang over Thornstrike and Jadeheart, and landed beside Icewreach.
"Let go of her!" He hissed in alarm. "Are you trying to kill her?" With one forepaw he aimed to cuff the tom strongly over his head, then turned to grasp Dewdrop's scruff in his jaws to drag her away from the fighting cats. He wasn't sure if he would be able to; the cats were fighting in a frenzy.

Brackenheart, thank StarClan! she felt like she was having a panic attack or something. she felt like her lungs were closing themselves off. she looked at Brackenheart with huge panicked eyes. she was truely scared. As far as I know, your warriors stepped onto our territory. I- she broke off, trying to breath. She drew as much air as she could and started again. I tried to get my warriors to go back to camp, but they just wouldn't listen to me. I-i-i Don't know what to do now. all the while she was following Brackenheart, trying to think of a way to stop the fighting. she hated it, but it was impossible to not have. she looked up at the warrior again, with her same scared eyes.

Lightwing was relieved to see Brackenheart. He didn't seem eager to attack, She breathed heavily, her leg still spilling blood heavily as it shook with nonstop pain.
Jadeheart was glad to have a chance to stop fighting Thornstrike. When the Windclan tom arrived, she listened to him exchange words with Thymemoon. The deputy seemed shaken by the fight. What was up with her deputy lately? She was so afraid of fighting for their land...
Pantherclaw waited for Thymemoon and Brackenheart to calm things down. Maybe his deputy would set things straight. Nope! He could barely believe it...she was acting as though they had all been rude and mean to Windclan, acting without a good cause...Pantherclaw sighed heavily.

I don't want this to sound like our fault because they stepped into our territory. But I don't like this fighting. It's uneccisary for us. Why can't we just go home? she sighed and kneaded her paws in the ground, waiting for Brackenheart to say something.

[maroon]Hissing as blood temporarily blinded him, he kicked away from Jadeheart long enough so that he could see his clanmate, Brackenheart. He wasn't sure whether to be relieved or disappointed. At first, he'd thought the tom was their backup, but then he noticed that Featherpaw was nowhere to be found, and the warrior was already demanding that the fighting end. Though he still felt no reason to end his onslaught, he had enough respect for the tom to pause long enough to hear what he had to say. Thornstrike's tail lashed, and with it a spray of blood hung heavy in the air as one green eye still burned with a fire that had not yet been satisfied. "Dewdrop. Will she be alright?" He meowed to Brackenheart. Even if the battle had ceased for now, the tom was in no mood to postpone his fighting. However, his clanmate was already unconcious. He didn't care if she didn't participate. As far as he was concerned, he faught better on his own anyway.[/maroon] [navy]Hissing as Brackenheart's paw made contact with his head, Icewreath backed up and away from both Windclan cats. Narrowing his eyes, he nearly muttered aloud that he was only teaching her a lesson, but he kept quiet as Thymemoon... Is she apologizing to him? She can't even control her own warriors. She's even thanking Brackenheart for being here. Pathetic, we didn't do anything wrong. Stupid Windclan. His eyes narrowed, but he said nothing, only curling his tail around himself and sheathing his claws. For the moment, that was.[/navy] [/center]
