Lightwing felt a mixture of embarrassment that her deputy was being such a push over, and an attempt at respect for Thymemoon's not wanting needless battles. However, the respect was dwindling quickly, as Lightwing thought this battle was plenty justified, therefore being needed...She looked away from the Windclan cats, feeling awkward at how weak her clan must look right now. Calling for a halt in a battle they rightfully should be fighting...honestly! she thought, her cheeks growing hot.
Jadeheart and Pantherclaw felt much the same as Lightwing, and there was definitely an awkward air about the group of Riverclan cats. They would still be fighting if it weren't for Thymemoon's rank. Were she just another warrior, they wouldn't even think twice. Why was she acting so scared of a fight?!

Thymemoon got out of her shock long enough to send orders. I want everyone back now! she mewed stubbornly. We will go back now and tell Shadestar everything! she watched her clanmates with narrowed eyes, testing anyone to defy her at the moment. Then she padded over to brackenheart again. I'm sorry about that. Iwas just in so much shock I couldn't even breath. she sighed. Not a very good Deputy am I anymore? without waiting for an answer she sharply turned around and padded off, her eyes still narrowed at her clanmates.

Brackenheart narrowed his eyes, raising his head for a moment to glance around at the RiverClan deputy. "Calm down please," he meowed. "It's only a small fight," inwardly he added that it could have been less bloody. He glanced around at the cats, surprised that his appearance had stalled it, even for now. At Thornstrike's question, he glanced at the younger warrior. "Only Cloverleaf can say for sure," he told him. He glanced around at the RiverClan and WindClan warriors. Turning his attention back to Thymemoon he meowed, "No. There shall be no blame until both sides of the story are told," in an undertone he added. "It's not problem. I wouldn't want to be in your position right now. Trying to contain fighting cats is probably the hardest thing you could have to do," he meowed, perfectly calm in spite of the tension in the air.

[maroon]Blinking, Thornstrike nodded briskly, glancing swiftly at Dewdrop's broken body before casting an emotionless look over at the Riverclan cats. He blinked once more, unknown thoughts hidden in his green depths. However, he turned his gaze back to his territory before any inferences could be made as to his gaze. But I won't forget their faces. And someday, they'll pay for what they did to Dewdrop. Narrowing his eyes, the tom waited for Brackenheart to finish talking with the Riverclan deputy. Holding back a snort of contempt at the she-cat's futile attempts to control her cats, he rolled his eyes before looking down at Dewdrop. She was unconcious, and he felt a flicker of some emotion inside before his usual coldness washed it away. It wasn't really his fault she'd gotten hurt... Right? Just like it wasn't your fault that Jack died. He stopped midstep as the voice whispered cruely into his ears, but he shook it away. Jack had known the sacrifice he was making when they attacked Moon and his kingdom. Thornstrike's brother wouldn't have wanted to die any other way.[/maroon]

Lightwing knew her deputy was backing down from a fight they deserved to fight...however, the fierceness in her deputy's eyes was undeniable. Thymemoon was not going to let them continue, and as deputy, she had the rank to go with the command. Lightwing had no choice but to look away from the cold gazes of the Windclan cats, and pad back to her own camp. She briefly wondered if Shadestar would be angry with them, but the thought was washed away by another spasm of pain in her leg. It was still trickling blood, and she could hardly walk. A bit of a hobble was the most she could manage. The warrior knew that Calicopelt would have her work cut out for her when they got back to camp...
Pantherclaw and Jadeheart each gave the Windclan cats one last disdainful look, before they turned tail and headed back toward camp. Knowing that this was not the end. Knowing they would have to face those dung balls again some time or another...

Russetstorm lashed his long ginger tail. This was their battle! They would have beaten those fox-hearted WindClan cats! But he could not disobey his deputy. Giving Thornstrike a cold look that said, this isn't over, he turned and stalked away as the reeds on his territory swallowed him up. Fox-dung! He thought, washing his torn ear as he padded back to camp. How could she do that? We have to show them that our borders will be defended tooth and claw, whatever any cat thinks! He snarled in his head.
